18.03.08 M-Glass, a novelty among sun protection glassesApart of present commercial products you find physical data on the M-Glass in our glass database. The M-Glass is a new type of sun protection glass that is subject of current research and development. This glass (formerly denoted as Tau_ideal glass) will have the ability to reduce the total solar transmittance at equal light transmittance by more than 30%. The data of the M-Glass in our database are presently theoretical values as obtained by the M-Glas theory. A description of the latter can be found either in Report A (further down in this column) or in reference 1 (in english). In addition, Report B. contains information on the practical realization of the M-Glass (in german).
